Okay, for starters I suspect that you are referring to the lines on the Plain of Nazca. The "Nascar" Lines would probably be the cars lined up before a race at Taladega.

Saying that the ET and UFO phenomena is all crap might be a tad extreme, even if accurate, but my guess is that a great many people can simply fool themselves into believing what is not true because they so desperatly want to believe.

Crop Circles have been shown to be hoaxes time and time again. Even though exposed as frauds crop circles still seem to have their drawing power because no matter how many times the perpetrators are caught in the act UFOlogists will deny the obvious and say that sure those cases where people are caught making them are fakes, but these others over here are obviously real. Rather sad truth be told.

The lines on the Plain of Nazca were created by an ancient people probably as some form of religious offering to their gods. Those who say that the natives couldn't have accomplished it without aid from the air are conveniently forgetting to mention that the holes in the plain from the grid that was laid out are still present. Remember when you were a kid and there would be a picture in a kids magazine and a grid superimposed over it and how on another page there would just be the grid? If you copied it grid block by grid block you could make a pretty impressive copy of the original with little effort. The same principle applies here only on a much larger scale. Modern day theorists like Eric Van Daniken who go to such absurd lengths in their attempts to prove that the works of ancient peoples must have been created with alien help are really expressing nothing but contempt for the native culture.

Why did they construct the lines and shapes at Nazca? Why did the people of Europe in the middle ages construct the great cathedrals? Wouldn't it have made more sense to put the skill, labor and effort into building better dwellings for themselves? In both cases the answer is probably yes, at least as viewed through the lens of todays priorities. To them it obvioulsy wasn't the case otherwise they would have done it. We make a serious mistake when we try to attribute todays concerns and priorities to yesterdays culture and we make a bigger mistake when we fail to give yesterdays native culture credit for being able to build, without any help from Marvin the Martian, some intriguing, wonderful and amazing things.

Crop circles are made by young blokes who have too much time on their hands and some ropes and wooden planks. (hardly impossible)

The Nazca lines were made by the south American Aborigines nearly between 3000 and some even say 12000 years ago. Though it is unknown why the did this, some lines are made by etching the earth, others, by piling rocks in lines. Also difficult for the time, but not impossible. (Egyptians made pyramids 3000 years ago, too)

I believe the Nascar lines were the work of technologically advanced people who were visited by aliens from whom they received their knowledge. The lines are hundred of kilometers long and completely symmetric. That has to have been done from the air, impossible to do it from the ground.

Read the book: Where the Gods Cosmonauts from Erich von Daniken, might be interesting to read, even if you don't agree, it surely rises questions as well as answering them

Crop circles are easily faked...so one cannot be sure if there is any extraterrestrial involvement.

All you need is a hat with a wire loop and a wooden plank with a rope and you can make a crop circle.
