Did you think you'd be having the lifestyle you have as an adult now when you were a child?

Yes.
I think because when I met my wife I told her what I wanted in life. and she liked what i said and that's what we have always worked towards.
It has been tweaked to reflect her needs and wants. But except for the size of my home, and I have two kids instead of one. (a bit of tweaking for the wife there).
I have what I dreamed of. And i am only 30....So we have plenty of time for a bigger house with a bit more land.
You have actually made me feel really happy thinking about this. Thanks

I thought I would be married to Mr Right by now and be happy an settled. Instead I have been in 2 long term relationships with Mr Right Nows and I am planning to leave the 2nd in the new year and am currently trying to scrape enough money together for a deposit on a house. I have got the career and the dog I always wanted, though, and I am lucky enough to have the family and friends that I do.

life is hard but as a child you have dreams and they hardly ever involve having children of your own. no is the answer i thought i would do many things including play football but a local side is as far as i progressed due to being a little person when i left school but as i see it all the things i dreamt of doing needed hard work to be able to live the life i wanted. i have 3 wonderful children and a loving wife i am very happy with how it turned out

No, I don't think so. I don't think I ever thought I'd be living in Hollywood, rubbing shoulders with America’s favorite celebrities and making pretty good money. Guess I never thought that as a child.

I have never been "little" and when I was a child my only thoughts were of my immediate needs. I didn't start to think about what I wanted to achieve until much later as you don't know what you don't know.

No way! I thought I would have no kids, be living with a boyfriend that adores me, have a job I love and be partying every night. I'm twice divorced, two kids, no partner, no job at the moment and I haven't had the money to party for two years!!

No, I thought back when I was young that 2006 would be all hovercars & futuristic and I 'd be doing something completely different. I'm not upset about it though, well, maybe the hovercar part.

In essence yes, it's just that my child brain didn't count on all the hassles an adult life can have... :-/

No. I never would have pictured living the life I am living. I always thought I would be a rock star and dead by now.
