I don't know why (hence me asking). It didn't use to happen.
I'm not even putting my feet near the computer or anything, but when I sit down the computer will restart some times. It also restarts when I get up. I'm not near the wires or anything and the computer is off the ground anyway.

IF it was working and then make a restart the problem may be in the memory try to replug it or reinstall ur operating system. but If it was not working and starts once, this happened with xp on computer with a motherboard from gigabyte. If this is the case, The computer starts work any time u use your telephone if it is plugged to the modem. So enter the motherboards setup by pressing Del on computer starting and disable any booting features from modem or either

Static electricity is causing the problem, you need a good surge protector, and if you have carpeting on the floor where your computer is, you need to get a hard plastick sheet too put on the floor, or touch something metal before you get near the computer.

OMG!! Mine does the same thing! I thought it was possessed!! It even starts up when someone opens the refrigerator! No joke! It's in the room next to the kitchen...but I don't get why it does this?? I contacted tech support and they told me to unplug it, and basically take it apart with a screwdriver and clean the dust from inside. I haven't done it though. Try contacting your tech support and see what info they can give you! Good luck!!

If your computer hangs or reboots while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes. Detailed instructions at http://tinyurl.com/yk5zpr
