It depends on what you're studying and why you need a particular degree. I wouldn't use it to become an executive at IBM, but it's a very good option if you want to complete your Bachelor's and you work full time. I received my teaching credential from National University (which is very similar to UoP) and it was just fine. (My undergrad degree is from USC, however). If you're going into a field where presitige will be a factor, select another school. It's also pretty expensive, but it serves a purpose and you'll be around other adults with the same needs/goals you have.

I am a student of University of Phoenix, and yes, it's a very good school. I take online classes because they fit my lifestyle, and you get a 3 unit class done in five weeks. You work on teams because they stress the importance of working together like you would at any company. There is a strong emphasis on writing skills as well, and each class is small so you get a lot of attention. I like it because there is a lot more interaction between the students as opposed to sitting in a college classroom and never talking to your fellow students. I'm going for my BS in Business Marketing

Its a good school cause it is easy and all the classes are set up the same. Week 1 hand out syllabus and possible paper or project due. Week 2 start working on individual paper pick topic, ask questions from wanna be professor, Week 3 give PP presentation(individual) and turn in indivdual paper, also get with group on Week 5 team paper and presentation. Week 4 group gets all parts of paper and presentaion together. Week 5 group presents presentation to class. And your done. All they are worried about is MONEY

Hell know. Take it from a former Academic Counselor for that school. I was able to get the degree free and wouldn't take one of those courses.
It is good for people whose jobs are forcing them to get a degree and the schedule (supposedly) is convenient for them. However, if you could attend what the Univ of Phx calls a "traditional" school but what I call a "real" school, you should go to the real school.
UofP is expensive and what the heck can you learn in 5 to 6 weeks. Would you want your doctor, dentist, attorney, airplane pilot or architect of your building to have taken 5 to 6 week courses.
As far as working on a team, the UoP doesn't even follow that in its workplace.
