If I were to run for a public office such as Gov. or United States President, would you, the general public vote for me? If say I ran upon these beliefs: 1) the Judicial only states the legality of law based upon the US constitution, 2) no matter who all US citizens fall under the laws of the United States, 3) implimintation of a uniform tax code, 4) abollishing the 'Death Tax', 4) encouraging citizens to save their earnings themselves, 5) limited Gov. involvement outside of foriegn relations, 6) prohibiting illegal aliens from possessing drivers liscences, 7) discontinuing affirmitive action.

Some of you had some questions for me.
My name is Thomas, I am a college student at Cal State Long Beach and I am seeking to become a history teacher.
No I do not know Monica Lewinsky. No I have never been in such a situation. And that many monkeys probably could write what I have myself.
No, I will not buy your vote. You either approve or disapprove of my ideas and should vote accordingly.
The situation in the middle east is not perfect but do able. Let us not create a self fullfilling prophecy.
The US should serve as a neutral nation, only intervening in extrem situations.
If the American people trully want me to declare war upon the drug cartells...then by God I shall give them a war, but never before. The American people must choose which battles they wish to fight.
Limit the influences of lobbyists in government. Allow the citizen to voice themselves.
I am all for the Kyoto protocol as long as all nations fall under its guidlines.

Im not going to go into your beliefs or read what you wrote, Im just going to say no. It doesnt matter what you believe in its how you get your image and how you maintain it. You have to understand how to run a campaign how to get onto a ballot, where to get the funding, have the right people from within the circles support you, and understand the basics of political maneuvering and strategy. I doubt that you do because if you did you'd understand it really doesn't so much matter what the small minority of people on this forum think. Though, personally, I've read your questions and your answers and I think youre a ****** douchebag.

What party will you identify with? All the major party political candidates are mean spirited, bitter and power hungry. The Democrats and Republicans have run to the middle so much anyway and placated so many people with money, that there's not a thin dime's difference in their overall performance.
Politicians and governments are not good lately of inspiring , "convincing" or helping people. Only FORCING them to obey.
I applaud you if you are able to get more people to vote in the first place which will help diminish the power politicians have of buying groups' support with campaign promises.
For me, I vote third party only. You have more choices than you are led to believe. To see ALL of the ballot choices in your district, go to Project Vote Smart. http://www.vote-smart.org.
Good luck to you!

I like what I hear Thomas (Jefferson?) You have my vote. What about politics in the Middle East, the lobby with Saudi Arabia and the joint venture with Israel in the UN Council, the drugs policy in Latin America and the Balcan? Secret Prisons? The gun lobby? The environment (Kioto Treaty)?

Yes!!!! I can already tell you are more intelligent than our current president. Numbers 2,5,6, and 7 all have me sold.
Especially #2, the constitution states that no one is above the law, and somehow it seems certain people are exempt.
Affirmative action is also out of hand. Its basically just reverse discrimination.

I agree with perhaps half of your platform although I may be willing to make a compromise and vote for you depending on the alternative candidate.

Do you know Monica?
Have you ever been photographed on a boat with a woman who is not your wife?
If ten thousand monkeys typed for ten thousand years, would one of them be bound to type your campaign platform?
