I was watching TV, and it was one of those embarrassing celebrity moments shows on VH1 or E! And, big surprise, Hugh Grant shows up on the countdown. For those who don't know, Hugh Grant was arrested with a prostitute named Divine Brown years ago. The twist is that Hugh was dating model/actress Elizabeth Hurley at the time. Every time somebody mentions this on TV, they all say the same thing: "Hugh, what were you thinking? You could have had Elizabeth Hurley." But nobody ever points out the real reason Hugh cheated. If you remember the story, Hugh Grant asked the prostitute for a b. j. Now I'm just guessing, but Elizabeth Hurley does not look like someone who just hands out blowjobs. This was just another case of someone who's not getting what they want at home so they look elsewhere to get it. I'm not really justifiying this behavior, but I understand where he's coming from. I can't believe no one else has said this. Anybody else agree with my theory?

Dude, Hugh was an idiot, pure and simple. I don't get bj's at home and I don't go out looking for them. Sometimes when we are adults, we know that compromise is needed in relationships. My wife doesn't like giving them, so I don't ask.
This 'looking for something he's not getting at home' is a tired, psycho-babble, lame-azz excuse for fooling around. Bottom line -- it's stupid, Hugh was stupid, and got what he deserved. Dumped.
And no, in 23 years of marriage, I have never cheated on my wife. It's wrong.
