It is best to forward them intact to you email provider and report them. Never reply or attempt to acknowledge (including unsubscribing). This may seem a good idea at the time, but this tells them that you exist and only makes things worse.
Setting up a filter is a good idea, though they do get some through by misspelling Viagra. It is a never ending battle. Blocking senders will work for a short time, but eventually you will run out of black sender space. If there is an area to put them in as junk, this will get rid of them to a degree. The link below may me of help to you. I wish you the best of luck.

You can't block them all by sender because the blocks work, in large part, by key words, so the spammers need only use a bit of leet or other abnormal characters to work their way around the basic filters; sometimes they just space the letters in the words so one word looks like a single acceptable word. Also, I believe most filters only cover the subject line, so they could put viagra as v! @ gra and it could get through, unless the filter blocks non words, or uncommon ones. You may be stuck with the quality of the spam blockers available to you.

I work in spam filtering, and short of getting a good spam filter there is little you can do.

I have resorted to only accepting messages from people on my address list for my personal email to cut down on the crap.

i get them too, keep sending them to abuse@yahoo.com, and they cant do anything to block them either. have been told to filter my spam settings,

i now push and hold "ctrl" (bootom left of keyboard) left mouse button, then right mouse button, scroll down and delete, this means you dont open the email, you just delete it. the person or machine sending these registers when you open them and will continue sending them whilst they are being opened.

dont click on any links in the emails either. hope this helps

Good luck figuring out how, and when you do let me know. All can tell you is to avoid registering your email address when you sign up for stuff, but other than that those emails seem to come out of nowhere.

The e-mails you are recieving are called "SPAM" (a term to designate unwanted e-mail) It a global problem, everyone gets these annoying e-mails.

There are several solutions to avoid e-mail SPAM, some of them involve purchasing anti-spam software. Some websites, such as http://mail.yahoo.com have mailboxes with good anti-spam filtering.

Unfortunately, without a spam filter, you can't block these.

I have the same problem, and the only thing that I can do is to delete them and add them to my spam list. It is annoying, but not really a disaster.
