For this she was sacked by the then German Chancellor, i.e. she was asked to resign.
My question is twofold:
1.) Was she right in making the comparison? If so, why?/If not, why not?
2.) Do you think that she should have been forced to resign. Give the reasons for your opinion.

Can anyone compare with Hitler, with the exception of Josef Stalin ? Bush at least does not (or at least not to my knowledge) maintain concentration camps for dissidents and Jews, and does not openly advocate racist views and opinions. Nonetheless no one should be blamed or persecuted for voicing out their opinions against anyone. We live in a free world, with the exception of some paranoid countries.

Bush IS an Incompetent A**, however he is not AS evil as hitler...at least not outright. Herta was a little TOO candid and should have ( could have ) used more finesse, yet have been as effective, if not more, than comparing bush to hitler. I feel perhaps an apology should have been insisted on instead of a forced resignation.

Seems like one or more of the dems did the same thing (their protege`). Even made an effigy to express it.. There is an extreme difference in doing something out of necessity compared with doing something to gain the world.

Being forced to resign would be the more dignified way to go.
