I'm having a hard time with this: I want to get a State Alchemist Name for Al but I can't really think of one, except Shifting Life. What do you think of this and any suggestions would be very helpful! If I do a fanfiction and use it, I'll say who gave me a different name if that's the case!

Wow you who saw the movie would realize that he never went to the army. Or he would have known at least Armstrong or even Mustang. But Al stayed true to Izumi and never went into the army. because if you remember her husband had to send him away because Izumi was too weak to teach him. And then she died, Al did not have the hook ups of mustang to get him into the army like Ed did so. He would not have a Appointed name.
But if he was in the army it would be.
Alphonse Elric: Soul Metal Alchemist
Only because In the Movie he can Transmute part of his soul into the metal suits, and does not know why.

we all know that when Al got his body back, he forgot everything that happened... so basically, any name that relates to the armor he was in is out of the question... and also all forms soul derived names... so heres a tip, just name him according to what specialty you will give him in your fic...
i also came up with some names tho... either use it or not... lol im not really good at giving names...
-The Heaven Alchemist - i dunno but something about Al just feels holy...
-The Shining Alchemist - .... dont ask me lol

definitely something to do with the soul, since using his soul to animate things is his unique and special power, and they are always named after their specialty. So, Kokoro no Renkinjutsushi would sound nice. Kokoro means "heart", "soul", or "spirit", and while referencing his power, also brings to mind his big-hearted personality. ^^;

Soul alchemist. i mean, roy's the flame alchemist coz he can transmute flames. why not make him the soul alchemist coz he can transmute his own soul?

Make him Ghost, or Spirit, since technically he has no body beyond his suit.
