Is it possible for me to ban any e mail from america ie these spamming bastads?

Unless you're real good at tinkering and can get your prog to check the originating IP and ban all US ones, you can't... and I suspect that you'd have to tweak the source code to do that...

Spam like Caste Based Reservations in India, are here to stay.

FYI, most spam now originates from servers located in EU/Asia.

The only way to keep control over spam is due diligence. Use a Spam aware email client like Thunderbird. Report spam in services like Hotmail and Yahoo.

Dont bother to unsubscribe from Spam, you will only get more of it.
