I'm assuming you're talking about work colleagues.... Some people just like to keep their work lives very seperate from their home lives. I don't really get close to people at work because I don't want to have to see them at work and also not at work. In some work environments you also might be competing against each other, which someone might not be totally comfortable with competing against a friend. Some just want to stay out of the way of things like office gossip so that they look better for their boss.

Maybe you're just too hot and they want to date you.
Maybe you don't know how to build rapport with people.
Maybe they have a personal policy against becoming friends with colleagues.

being true friends with co worker just causes problems in the work place. It may work for a while but as soon as that person ticks you off in your personal life it will be hell at work.

Some people dont like to mix work and relationships .If the relationship breaks down it is hard to go to work and face them every day.

maby they want to be friends. when your at work you do the work and save friends to be off the clock. it is a tough situation. i am not sure whats going on between you and your co workers but thats how I handle my life.

experience has taught me that they are jealous of somthing about you it may not be the way you look but it is somthing about you , i have had this experience @ every job I have ever had, think about it whatis it you have that they don't.
