Well it depends on what you want it for. Yes it is an upgrade over your old system (from your previous question). It will be fine for general internet surfing, as for games, you will be able to play 1-2 year old games at low settings and 2-3 year old games at medium settings. I would not recommend you even try to put a new game on it though.

Just be aware that open box items off of new may not work. They are not tested when returned. If the new product is just a little more than the open box I would go for the new (A64 3000+).
