how can we tell if it's legit or not and how much could they get for it?

You will have to have it authenticated by an autograph specialist. There are a lot of Will Rogers autographed photos out there and I doubt if your photo is very valuable. I'm guessing that it might be worth less than $100.00 and could be worth significantly less. Do a yahoo search for "autograph authentication" or "autograph experts" for more information.

check ebay to see what the going rate is for that, he was pretty famous so id say they could get alot, but it will only increasy more the longer they hold on to it. as for authenticity, I would say an antique dealer maybe could appraise it for you and authicate it

Keep it, it will increase in value the longer you have it and it stays in good condition.
