I had a period but it was more like pink lumps.. it wasn't blood. It was kind of like flesh colored jelly. I touched some of it to see what the texture was like and it tore. It was thick.
I researched miscarriage and that sounds like what it described. I don't know how to find out though. Would a doctor be able to tell almost 10 months later if I had a miscarriage?

Sorry for the details!

Goodness no, 10 months is far too long of a period of time for a doctor to still be able to tell whether you miscarried. Just try to keep in mind that women have miscarriages all the time early in pregnancy, WAY more often than you think, and most of them don't even know it. You may have even had several other miscarriages in the past without knowing. It can happen for many reasons, some being that there may have been genetic issues with the fetus and the body aborted it because it would not have been healthy enough to survive. There's nothing you can do about it now, so it is best not to dwell on it.

There's a lot of reasons why a period can have more clots, don't worry about it.

A doctor would have been able to tell you for around 6 weeks after it happened, but not 10 months. Some time women have miscarriages and never even know it. Sometimes that heavy and chunky period isn't really a period and in most cases is just a fertilized egg that couldn't grow any further for whatever reason. I think in most peoples cases it is best not to know. The pain could really be much worse than not knowing. I wish you the best of luck in the future.

If you had a miscarriage you would know bc there would be pain. You should see the doc none the less, bc you may need a D & C, dilation and curettage. This is a process that uses a vacuum to remove tissue and prevent infection.

No but you should have an examination and PAP to be sure that there is no other problems. Sometimes tissue can be lodged in the skin and a d&c is required. Check it out.

I think if its bleeding unusual to what you normally bleed then you need to see a doc. Don't find out any answers on here they will only leaving you with the "what ifs". Please take care of yourself. I had a m/c a month ago and its nothing to play with.

Take Care

No. Immediately following the period, or even during, you should have contacted your doctor. Sorry.

If you had miscarried you would have had severe labour type pains they would have intensified until you passed the fetus.
