Your question has always baffled me, because I too am challenged by good time management (but I'm better than I used to be). I think people have an "inernal clock". Mine runs 5 minutes slower than most people"s, and also it is off by about 4 hours in that I seem to go to sleep and wake up about 4 hours later than the majority of people. I have learned to compensate for this by working Swing shift (3pm-11pm or 4pm til 12am) and by setting all my clocks 15mins fast. I find that having ONE calendar and using it is helpful and keeping it by the phone a real plus. I write myself notes about what I have scheduled for the next day, and put them in the kitchen so I will see them first off when I make my morning cup of coffee. There are many "crutches" I use, including carrying a 3X5 notecard in my shirt pocket wih reminders of what I need to remember. In other words, people that you think are naturally "time-efficient" may be working hard behind the scenes to be that way, and because they have developed a habit of doing it for so long it seems natural. Also there is the issue of ADD or ADHD as it is now called--people who get distracted easily. These people have every intention of being better at time management, but almost every time they go to do something, they are distracted by something else--over and over until they have frittered away their time and or late to an appointment. I have clocks all over my house both analog and digital to keep me time concious. One seemingly contadictory thing about ADHD people is that instead of being too easily distracted, if they are working on a project that is interesting to them and they "hyper-focus" to the exclusion of everything else. Ever been online, doing something that is interesting to you when you look at the clock and 2 hours have passed by, and you thought it was 40 mins.?
If you are "time management frusatrated" don't be too hard on yourself. Yes, sure it would be easier if these things came naturally to you, but there are skills or habits or "tricks" you can develop to become better. Self-talk is important too. Look in the mirror in the morning and say" today I will more efficiently use my time!" and say it with some enthusiasm and smile at yourself--over time this can have a very positive effect. We program computers, we can program ourselves. It just takes longer-- but it is possible. As Winston Churchill ( a great statesman) said," Never! Never! Never! Never! Never give up! . Hope this is of some help!

It just depends on what kind of person and personality type you are. I AM GREAT and feel pressure to manage my time. I am very organized and I can't imagine it being any different, for me. Other people I know, aren't this way, and they are just fine too. Every one works in a different way because everyone is dfferent from each other! That's all. :)

Other people are doing things more productive then say...asking why you are not good at time management.
Ok, that was mean sarcastic...I'm being really sarcastic tonight. Organization is a key to time management. Use a label system that you can live with, use organizers/files, keep things written down. That is a good start to time management. Sorry for being a smarta$$, nothing personal. (Note to self: Sarcasm not appreciated)

Don't worry about it.
You'll find, as you go through life, that there is always going to be someone who is better than you are at almost everything you do. Try not to judge yourself off of what the jonese do or what the smiths have that you don't. Just enjoy life as it is.
