Hi. I don't know if anyone understands me but whenever I read I can't hear myself speak the words inside. I can read and understand it but I can't actually hear myself when I read without my voice.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

your problem is actually is not a problem for anyone than why for you? if still you have a problem when you're reading just forget yourself and concentrate on what you are reading or think you ar telling a story to others .read that way . Enjoy your reading the way you enjoy a soap opera or watch a movie.Keep your self light headed and free while reading and you'll find your solution automatically.best luck friend.

I don't think that's a problem at all - I don't hear my own voice when I read to myself, never have. Like you, it doesn't mean I don't understand and enjoy what I read. As long as it's going into your brain, what does it matter about the route?

ok, are you saying that you can't read without talking out loud because you can't hear yourself inside your head? i would say, do what you gotta do. if you have to whisper to yourself, go ahead and do it. not enough people read in this country as it is--keep at it!

if you are just concerned because you can't hear your voice inside your head, but you can read perfectly fine (and to yourself, not out loud), then for sure i wouldn't worry about it one second longer. could be that hearing oneself isn't the way you think it is and you DO it but dont' realize it. anyway, don't stress it!

Try blocking your ears with your fingers while reading. Make sure that there is no background noise. See if it helps.
