Hi. I don't know if anyone understands me but whenever I read I can't hear myself speak the words inside. I can read and understand it but I can't actually hear myself when I read without my voice.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

I don't think that I have ADD--I'm usually a very focussed person however when it comes to reading, I stare blankly at the page and I can't hear well connected thoughts. I know what it all means but I can't figure how it sounds just by looking at it

if you are in school still, you can get help with your reading by visiting an adviser. in college, there is also tutoring available. otherwise, contact a place like Sullivan learning center. they can help you.

I think I know what you mean although I don't have a solution. When I read I "hear" the words inside my head as if they are pronounced aloud. I'm assuming that what you mean is that you don't "hear" those words so you don't connect the words with spoken English.
I don't know if this means that you couldn't read aloud because you wouldn't know how the words are pronounced or whether you are just wondering why you aren't aware of the sound of the word mentally. It doesn't sound as though you have a problem with comprehension, just that you don't think this is normal.
I don't really have an answer because I'm not an expert on how the mind works, or what happens when we read, or reading disorders. Why don't you go to someone who specializes in this sort of thing, describe what is happening, and ask if it's abnormal or just a normal reading variation. You might find out that this is normal for a lot of people and it shouldn't impact your learning ability or reading skills. If it is a problem then maybe he could suggest something to do about it.

Are you easily distracted when you read? That could be ADD. Do you have to keep reading the same thing over and over?

I don't "hear" my own voice when I read to myself.

Same here. You need to do silent reading it takes time to get use to reading with a second voice sounds weird but its true. almost like a.d.d. its hard to concentrate on more than two thimgs at a time. takes a long time to get use to it but train your mind. still bothers me sometime but calm down and think. make your mind calm.
