yes i am a certified mediator. what i can tell you is that both of you will have to sign a form stating that you are aware that what ever is said is confidental and that the mediatior is only there to help you come to a decision that you both can agree on. the mediator can in no way advise you what to do. only assit in the coming to an agreement. in some cases though, if you cant come to an agreement, and the mediation was court ordered, the judge may come to one for you. hope this helps

how many children do you have that would have him paying over $1,000.00 a month in child support? Courts usually only award 1/3 of the non-custodial parent's salary for child support, which is for housing, and their share of the bills (electric, water/sewer/garbage etc.), only time I've heard of someone getting over $1,000 is when the non-custodial parent makes well over $100,000 a year...as for a court mediation, I never had one when my ex and I split, it was pretty cut and dry for us so no need to go that route.

mediation is basically we're you start talking about one subject and you say your piece your ex says his then the mediator tries to help you two find a happy medium, something you both can agree on or at least compromise on.
