Well I guess I can imagine how that would be annoying, but have you ever thought about how frustrating it is to be the person who predicts right & is always ignored until the prediction comes true? Only to be ignored again next time ... and the next time ... and on and on the cycle continues.

My father in law is a really smart guy and I think it's cool he's so smart, but sometimes he'll just start spouting off random facts about a person or place and it's a little annoying, especially if he manages to hijack our dinner conversation or something.

Nope, we have interesting, thought-provoking conversations where we explore all the possible avenues of possibilities for the fun of it. But, then again, I am one of those "annoying" smart people. :)
