There are other species of animals that live together, like those cows and the birds that eat the bugs off the cow, and there are quite a bit of others (quite a few in the ocean), but I can't really remember them all that well, but humans and pets have a mutual relationship where the pet gives the human companionship, and the human gives the pet food, water, and shelter, so I guess I would say yes, humans and animals were meant to live together.

Only for responsible pet owners. Some dogs take less grooming, so they don't smell so bad without as much effort. The key to fleas is prevention. I put a line of sulphur granules around my perimeters in Feb. or March and light spreading of it in yard, then no fleas come in my yard. It's not expensive. I get mine from the local feed store in 50 lbs bag. I like Cassandra's answer, too.

I think so... at least for my part my pets enrich my life and make me feel better when I'm down. They don't judge and make good pillows. In turn, they come to me for cuddles and I for one really think we love each other. Whether meant to happen or not, it works out. Also, humans are animals too.
