Maybe people are bringing up racism on this site because they're experiencing acts of racism and want to discuss them or vent about them in an relatively anonymous setting.
My experience is that people who rarely experience a particular form of bias (racism, sexism, homophobia, whatever) are the quickest to dismiss those who want to talk about it.
Talking about racist experiences can be a more constructive way of dealing with them than just ignoring them and letting angry feelings fester, even though many argue that "sucking it up" and not complaining about bias is better. Actually, it isn't better or healthier for those who experience bias to just ignore it if it really bothers them. Talking about it - even venting sometimes - is better, even if it is annoying to those who don't want to hear about it because that particular bias doesn't impact them nearly as much.

I agree with you 100%. Get over racism, were not going anywhere Blacks, Whites, Asians, Latinos will all be here tomorrow.

I believe that some of it can be attributed to individuals trying to get emotive responses back from fellow answers.

If you're talking about Muslims, they are NOT a race!
Some are Near Eastern
Some are Semites!
Some are whites
Some are blacks
That's all races!

Yes, it is sad to see so much of it brought out on here. It proves it still exists, unfortunately.
