I just let mine be who she wants to be....it'll work out eventually. At least we have good communication.

I let mine be who she wants to be, but I certainly do not let her do anything she wants. I have (with the help of her wonderful father) raised her well, and she is a good one, so it isn't very scary with her. Because we have always been clear about what is expected of her, and have been consistent, she has given us no real heart ache. The worst thing she has done is talk back to me once. She later apologized. She's a good one, but it took from the moment she was born..always treating her with respect, dignity and rules and guidelines to make her that way.
It doesn't have to be scary if you have raised them well from day one.

hmmmm, im not gonna let my kids be sluts and drug dealers. Im going to teach them respect and virtue. yeah my parents had that same attitude ( no offense ) and it really didnt do any good. They need guidance and rules, period. they need a parent and a friend.

the teen ages today are something else some are so disrespectful to their parents,others let them do what ever they want to do,it's crazy
