I have a 1984 Ford LTD Crown Vic w/ 302 V8. Runs rough, yet I might use for basic cargo hauler. (Kind of a cheap truck ??)...Anyways, heater inlet/outlet hoses been redirected and cut. Inquiries tell me core could be bad. I hooked up hoses and ran it. Did leak...big time. So I put some "Dyke" radiator treatment in coolant system. Seems to have slowed leak. Here's the question. Anyone out there had similar problem. Maybe used this stuff or something that worked real good? Thanks.

pull out the core and repair it or replace it. Or, if you don't want heat, just bypass it.

Replace it, on that car it isn't that hard or expensive. Then flush the cooling system and replace the antifreeze or you will have more leaks from carrosion and your water pump seal needs the lubricant and softener in the antifreeze
