How do supermarket tabloids get away with telling so many lies?

How are they not sued into bankruptcy?

because we glorify celebrities so much in our culture. we're so obsessed with them and these tabloids just take advantage of that cos they know we'll buy them. and besides a lot of people are suckers for any kind of crap the media puts put anyway; we easily believe everything thats being written out there

a mix of laws protecting free speech and the fact that they're just good like that ...oh and the government knows that someone has to keep crazy cat ladies busy or they'll take over !!!!
