I have been trying to find good rap music for a couple days and have gotten some of the most hateful comments ever! I am astonished! Yes I am white okay so I should say the majority of white people.

All rap does is make a few people a lot of money... 90% of it is violent and degrading to the world as a whole. The only reason that it is popular at all is because white people buy the CD's and white record companies make millions off of it. Sure, they form cool sounding record label subsidiaries and have a few African Americans front the label... but the money always makes it back to whitey. I used to work for a major music retailer and they handed us down this report that showed that the majority of rap is purchased by white folks in middle America. In urban areas one person will buy a CD and burn dozens of copies... another reason that rap sucks? How about this- rap artists are all into ring-tones! What a stupid way to think you are cool... I say we need more East/West conflict... Tupac and Biggie are gone but why stop there when there are so many other wastes of space with better rap sheets than rap songs! Word to your Mutha!

That's what you think? You're pathetic. Do black people hate country western music because a redneck beat them up? I don't think so. People have different tastes in music. Where I live, most white people like rap.

I like rock and heavy metal music. I honestly can't stand rap. I just don't like it. There's no specific reason, it's personal taste.

Rap is made by black people? Whoa... and here I thought Slim Shady was the one that started rap. I really hate that guy... I was beat up by white kids when I was in school. :-p

Ummmmmm, No. I have a superwhite friend who likes Eminem and 50 cent. Rap drives me and most white people crazy because of the language and the sex. I'm Asian by the way. lol. Just though you might want to know. Peace!

Wow. There's a whole lot of sterotyping right there. You make it seem like white people are generally weak and black people are generally violent.

Now, how does that sort of thought help anyone?

is it civil to sit around and talk about women like rappers do, or talk about killing each other? I will admit I like the beat on some songs but the hate for each other is astounding. Not a whole lot different then muslims treat each other.

Hardly the reason I don't like rap music. To me it doesn't offer quality.
