I've been at Level 4 for a while and it's not important to me. I don't spend a lot of time on here and only answer the questions that appeal to me. They're the ones that I feel I know something about or have knowledge of that could perhaps help someone else. I may only answer 2-3 questions on a good day. Some days there are none. I might spend the time voting on questions that would have interested me because I think those people who took the time and effort to answer honestly deserve a vote of appreciation or recognition for best answer. I'm competitive with myself enough to know that I care more about the percentage of best answers than total points. Everyone has their own games that they play. No one on here knows me so I don't care if they have more points than me.
What used to be disheartening was when you answered a question your Level showed up under your nickname. Some people were intimidated by that. That was wrong because you could have been Level 1 for only a few days and someone else Level 4 or higher for months or even a year. That doesn't mean what you have to say is any less important or valid than their answers.
Just enjoy being on here and sharing what you know.

people who want to get to the next level are like mice in a psychological experiment, they just want to perform for their 'masters'.
I mean what the hell do you get at the next level???
I looked up the leaderboard and saw that the top number of answers (the 2nd in points) answered 45516 questions.
If you answer 1question in 1 minute and spent 8 hours a day answering questions --like a full time job-- that would have been almost 95 days of work or 4 1/3 months of work. Man, get a life!

Some people like to have a feeling of accomplishment in any way, they can get it.
But it would suck for someone to cheat to get it. That takes away part of the feeling of achieving the accomplishment.
And don't worry about the spelling, I'm horrible at it too, that's why I like the spell check. (I had to use it a lot on this one)

what's important in life is to be true to yourself.then you will attract a better class of friend.this answers is ok and judging from what i've read so far there is an awfull lot of people that have genuine inquiries.there is also alot of jerks.ignore these and enjoy learing something new.there's a fair bit of wisdom in amongst it all.whats a point. thats not why i'm here.

Some people will do just about anything to get ahead; there are some who are compulsive and have to answer any question that is asked; some think this is the real world; some like to sport of the thing; some like to helpful; and some have no idea what they are doing. ; )

Humans have this need to be better than everyone else...is part of the reason why we are a superior species. As a whole, we all do it. It might by why some people have gambling problems.
