Answering this question is IMPOSSIBLE. If we counted Pluto, we would have 9 planets in our galaxy. Because of this, you'd think the answer would be (9+12)*7 = 147. However, the question is asking about the number of planets in the UNIVERSE, not the galaxy. Scientists have already discovered some planets in distant galaxies, but not all of them. Actually we don't know how many planets are in our universe, but we also don't even know who many are in our own galaxy (Milky Way Galaxy). All we know is the amount in our own "Solar System". There are nine (or eight or 10-12 depending on if the dwarf planets are included: "Pluto","Xeno/Eris", "Ceres" and "Charon").
The nearest "star" to our own sun is Alphi Centuri (in the southern cross) which is actually three stars, which northerners don't see. It is also in the Milky Way galaxy and looks like it might have planets. It is a little over 4 light years away. The nearest galaxy on the other hand is 25,000 light years away! The nearest galaxy around the same size as our own is the Andromeda Galaxy, 2.5 million light years away!

The reason for the difference in Known Universe and Universe, is some objects are thought to travel faster than light speed, due to the Universe expanding (accelerating reference, not inertial reference like High School physics, so faster than light is possible). Some galaxies near or on the edge of "the known Universe" might someday "disappear" and we will never be able to travel or even communicate with them ever again, even though they still exist. Typically, the farther something is from us, the faster it is traveling away from us. So when the objects get far enough away, they will be traveling faster than light. So minus a worm hole or bending space-time, these objects are "here today", "gone tomorrow". How would you count these planets, even if it was possible?
There are some distant objects that are heading towards us however, like some Galaxies which will collide with the Milky Way. The Sagittarius Dwarf galaxy (collide in 100 million years) and the Andromeda galaxy (collide in 3 billion years = 3,000 million years). Galaxies are mostly empty space, so when the galaxies collide/merge, the chances of our Solar System being directly hit by something in the other galaxy is rather small.

I also want to add that the inside of a black hole is outside the known Universe to us, since we can't see in them. However, anything inside the Black Hole (inside Event Horizen) can still see out and see everything in the Universe that we can. The other example I gave before is different because unlike objects in a black hole, objects on the edge of the Universe will disappear from us (like a black hole), and we on Earth will also disappear from them (unlike a black hole). So they will become a new sub-Universe separate from us after a period of time.
