do not trust anyone..
find someone that you actually know. like one of your friends' teenaged daughters or something.
i would never trust anyone from like a newspaper!! thats just my opinion tho!!

Ask around your family and friends, then when you find someone suitable (with good references) introduce them to your children. When your children are comfortable with the sitter you can then take them on as a babysitter pretty confidently.

Ask other mothers if they can recommend anyone. Call the high school & ask if the principal would post a notice for you. A lot of girls want to baby sit. The principal would probably want to meet you or need a reference from someone in the community. He has to protect his students.
