thats called a migrane. those are the symptoms, ive had migranes for several years and what you just described is exactly what i go through. my doctor prescribed a preventative medication called amatryptoline(not sure how its spelled) and also maxalt. both of these work wonders but be sure to talk to your doctor to get a prescription(you never know if you are allergic to one of them or if other medications will interfere etc.) talk to your doctor and tell him/her your symptoms they will be able to help. however, if you dont want to go on medication, try to stay away from caffiene andartificial sweetners(like splenda). also, migranes are often triggered by certain sounds and even smells so try to stay away from those too.

Migraine Syndrome is not one symptom but one involving most of the cranial nerves, which in turn are involved with the function of several parts of the body. There are 12 of those nerves so can have that many symptoms.. Yours does not reach that level apparently.

You don't specify what area of your head (right side is not specific). Is it in the temple, around or behind the ear, in the jaw?????

If you take the time to press at the base of the skull (top of the neck) you should find it to be quite tender on that same side. If this is true, then it can be corrected simply.. If no tenderness on either side, then you should have an MRI, or x-ray, to determine if there is some serious factor involved within the cranial cavity itself.

It is never normal to have a headache.. I have only experienced one when undergoing a high fever.

My sister had the same problem and she went to the doctor and he said she had a sinus infection. If you put a little pressure on the top of your noes between your eyes and it hurts then it is a sinus infection.

If you this keeps going on for the next few weeks then it probably is a migraine. I was having bad headaches last year around this time last year and it lasted everyday until the begging of January. the doctors could not figure out what was wrong with me. The thought had a tumor in my head and was doing all these test on me but come to find out I was suffering form migraines. They gave me a shot of imetrex and that helped. But that was the worst filling ever all I wanted to to was sleep and the light bothered me. It sucked I would never wish that pain on my biggest enemy.

I get these all the time. Is the pain above your eye? I usually get the pain on one side of my head above my eye. It lasts for 24 hours sometimes more. And nothing works. Sometimes if I take Nyquil and rest that helps. It could be a cluster or migraine headache. But if it lasts unusually long I would see a doctor.

Sad to let you know that is a migrane. Migranes happen on one side of the head. I get them all the time. Sometimes they are really bad others its worst.

If the pain is on your forhead, you could have clogged, infected sinuses. You should really check out anything that is that painful.
This is not a "typical" headache. Go to the doctor!

stress can cause the headache and they can last just about any amount of time depending on the type of stress. the cluster headaches we call them.
