If you broke up with her, but did not really tell her why when she thought everything was ok why do you not call to check on her or say sorry. I just want to know how is it that a man can confess his love for you over a long period of time but as soon as you break up (his fault) he is able to treat you like a stranger. What makes a man be in love with you one day, but treat you like you are a nobody the next, and I mean that literally. How can you be in the bed snuggled up with her this week, and every other week before that, but when you break up with her you treat her like she is contagious as though you have never loved her before. How are you guys able to turn your love on and off.

I think it's because guys don't always say everything that's on their mind during the period that he's with the woman. While they are together and he's telling the woman he loves her, he may have growing doubts and even be falling out of love but just won't admit to it. He might have his periods of doubts, then be OK with things for a while, & go back & forth without telling his partner. Guys don't always say what's going on in their minds -- natural to filter things out (like better not to say "you look fat today"), and it's hard to tell what you should tell your partner and keep to yourself. Some things need to be kept to yourself.

I think if men didn't have this thought/feeling filter and they said everything that passes through their minds and hearts -- then you'd have NO RELATIONSHIPS even started because some of these things are pretty scary.

But when a man's doubts in a relationship win out, then he just shuts off the past & is ready to move on. He's looking to the future now.

Calling his partner & checking up on her can risk hurting her more.

Also, I think men hate hurting women and if they initiate a breakup they want to move on ASAP. I know so many guys in relationships they want out of who simply misbehave in order to have the woman dump him. We like to make women happy and hate hurting them, but making a certain woman happy doesn't work if it makes the man miserable.

Sadly, a tremendous portion of the population is experiencing a love of human want and need. As the human heart wakes to the fact that it needs something more, things change, and past hurts surface. Love seems to have been turned off when the realization comes of what the first love was, humanly conceived. With all of the cards on the table, sometimes there just isn't a reason to call, ever. After the turmoil is over, the heart is ready for something far better.

I never was able to just turn my feelings off for any of my exes that easily. Even though I almost always broke up with them, I would always wonder how they were doing. Pretty much the only ones I would call back again though, were the ones that I wanted another chance with really. Calling again, to me, is a signal that you miss them and want to be with them again.

i'm no longer a guy. in basic terms that I had the comparable adventure which you defined. My ex broke up with me with the help of leaving a notice on my weblog. He by no potential even call or text fabric me to make certain if i'm ok. i think of adult males like that in basic terms suck to the max.

Well, I can't speak for all men, but for me I have the ability to just move on and forget about what ever it was that happened who's ever fault it was. I don't stress out too much over it. Life's too short.

They find someone else new and just drop women. They do not have a problem doing this.

because if they don't turn it off, every little tiny word he says MEANS SOMETHING to her and then she thinks they're GETTING BACK TOGETHER or something.
