Why Black people like wearing hats?

Can anybody tell me why?

I see most black guys wear hats...

there must be some culture we don't know..


One more question...sometimes wearing hats for a long time make me feel dizzy or uncomfortable..

any one has the same feeling?


I am so wodnering how come black people can always wear hats....don't they sometimes feel not good?

Maybe your hat is too tight if it makes you dizzy. I'm thinking you were maybe wearing a tight hat when you asked this question?

You see alot of black people wearing hats?!?!?! Hats are fashion accessories!!! I noticed PEOPLE in general do wear hats just like PEOPLE wear jackets, shoes, shirts etc. I dont see the point of this question. Wearing hats has nothing to do with race. Also, if you wear a hat and u feel dizzy, then maybe your head is too big for it....get a bigger size!

I am black and I hate hats. The only time I wear a hat is when I workout at the gym. Otherwise I see no point in wearing a hat and messing up my hair. If you have good hair days you never wear hats. I make sure I have time to do my hair and don't have a bad hair day. All kinds of people can have bad hair days. You need to step outside your little neighborhood where all the black folks wear hats because in my neighborhood predominately black they don't wear hats.

Interesting question.
I have to observed that it appears that black people wear hats more than any other group of people. I would also say that about coats but not scarfs

As parents we are taught that we should wrap our kids up warm and coming to this cold climate, we ensured that our kids did not go out without a hat, coat and gloves. This you may think absurd and untrue but i know going to school in this country I would have my hat and coat button to the top and my white friends would have a loose jacket unbuttoned or no jacket. True, watch a city centre on a saturday night who has a coat and who doesnt.

Blacks wear hats for the same reason that whites, reds, browns, yellows and polka dots do!
They like the look of a hat, they want protection from the sun,wind ,or rain.
It is not nice to stereotype people, it usually defines you as a person with an ax to grind.

This is what you call a stereotype. If I see a majority of green people balancing cups on their forehead while wearing pink striped towels, could I honestly say that all green people do this? I say to you, no! Just because you see some people do something, by all means do not consider them all to do it. I mean it's not genetic for all black people to wear hats or anything. Peace in!

The same reason everyone else does. I don't think it's a culture thing, it's a comfort thing. And no people don't get dizzy, unless their hat is too tight.

I wear hats in the summer to keep from getting sunburn..(yes we do burn) I wear hats in the winter because it gets cold. I wear hats in the rain to keep my head dry. I have a beautiful head of hair have never had extensions hence never had had a reason to hide my hair; thank you very much.
