It's both.... I'd say 75% positive to 25% negative.
Could you imagine a world where you just wake up and go skipping down the road throwing rose petals and sprinkling pixie dust amongst each other? Might get a little boring eh?

From where I stand, positive. But that is only speaking from the surface.
We live in such an imperfect world. Some people have it good. Then there are some who live on little or no food, and suffer from malnutrition.
Or how about the US trying to be hero to other countries, but only adding fuel to the fire, and killing too many of our country's men.
War is so despairing.
The world is not more positive nor negative. The world is just not fair.

There are more negative people too quick to say the world today is a worse place. The world is infinetly better for so many reasons now. Think back to stories old folk tell of punishment and hard times for them when they were kids. There is more news so more exposure to bad stories but again that can be good for two reasons- we know how lucky we are and also if it's known it can be dealt with. The world can be fantastic if you just let it.
