You can't do anything to change what she's going to do, you can't control her entire life. Just be her friend is the best you can do for her.

Unfortunately, a lot of people are made to suffer as children: beatings, rapes, torture, abandonment, neglect, parental divorce and subsequent remarriage with new or stepchildren to compete with, alcoholic or drug-addicted parent(s), erratic and even dangerous consequences of parental mental illness, browbeatings, parental insensitivity, psychological and emotional assaults, parental affairs, constant family turmoil, molestations, familial violence, single parent by choice or irresponsibility, and so forth.

You can not change the world although I appreciate your efforts. Remember that a person must help themselves before you can help them. I know you've thought out a million options in your head. Try sharing your ideas with your friend. Let her know that you care for her. Remember that it does help to pray regardless of what people say.

Talk with your parents or your school guidance counselor and be sure they know how concerned you are for your friend. If that doesn't work, see the school nurse, a school social worker - someone who can look out for her best interests. She is fortunate to have you as her friend. Good luck!

That sounds like a situation that is out of your control, unless there is something you can do about it that you didn't mention. Otherwise, just be there for her...that's all you can do.

You are so sweet to want to help. You can only be there for her if she wants to seek help. You can not do it for her.
