As I have stated before my daughter is 25 years of age and people just really do not like her for any reason at all. I have just received a few yahoo messages from people wondering why her co-workers and people in general were trying to pick fights with her. I am sorry that I failed to tell you all before the reason why she gets picked on. The reason why she is being attacked by people is because they says that she's ugly and she is kind of shy. Although if you were to see her, she just looks like an average normal person.

It sounds like she is working in a snake pit! She will not be able to change these people, she will need to be the one to make a change--of employment. If this kind of treatment is making her suicidal, then she needs to get away from these people. They all deserve a kick in the teeth for torturing her!!

What are her actions toward you and have you sen her actions towards other people at work or other places. She may have made a thick shield around herself if she believes other peoples ideas or has a bad image of herself .
If shes the new kid on the block then yes people will push to see how much she will take before fighting back.
Insecurity will also cause others to pick on her as an easy target much as the runt of the litter will be pushed out by either the mother or its siblings for not being aggressive enough to survive.

Well, that's just mean. I won't pick on someone just because they're ugly. I'm sure there is absolutely nothing wrong with your daughter, she is just around the stupid immature people who need to get a life. I really don't know what you should do, but I would definately get some help for her. It sounds as if she is getting broken down bit by bit, and she just needs a couple of friends to pull up her self esteem. I hope everything works out with her, and those mean people go to hell!

if she wants to commit suicide its definately not because she is ugly and shy. 70% of the world is ugly and shy. There are some other major things going on that you should find out about. If she is just really weird and insecure about her looks, have her do some plastic surgery. If you've seen some of those shows on tv, you'll know what I mean. She would go from depressing to annoyingly spunky. Im sure there is financing available too.

your daughter needs to work on her self esteem so that she will be able to stand up to bully's !she needs to find her voice so she can refuse to allow more crap !she needs to refuse to be a victim to anyone. she's probably a very nice girl and there's no such thing as ugly we are all different.self esteem comes from the inside.when I said she needs professional help this is what I was talking about.I have a son who went trough this and now he's found his place in the world and he's happy, but do something quick because suicide is permanent but the problems she is having is all a matter of learning to deal with jerks.

I have worked with a few people who were not easy on the eyes but people did not pick on them. Usually when people get to know a person, no matter what their looks are, they get some respect. Are you sure she is telling you the whole story. She will have to learn that people can be very nasty. What happened in school. That is where kids usually catch it.

wow, sounds like me. Tell her she's not alone and if she needs counseling, offer it to her. Also it could be a medical problem. My parents just went to this medical seminar for kids and adults with ADD. I don't know how to deal with your situation but as for me, I got help when I needed it. I think that she needs your full support in anything she does and constantly tell her not to believe the lies people are telling her to make her feel awful. Tell her she has her mother on her side and that's all she needs. Help her with her self esteem and invite her to do things and help her meet other adults around her age and other's younger and older and they can all try to be her friend. Get your husband to help her. Get your relatives to help you help her. I feel sorry for her but at the same time, she's not contributing to her solution by wanting to commit suicide. God Bless and Good luck.

This happens to the people who are very kind-hearted sometimes. Is your daughter unusually kind to customers / other people? I have a friend who's going through something similar; he's geting kicked out of his apt. because he's quiet and does not stand up for himself.
