As much as I've been tempted to keep money I've found, if I have a reasonable guess who the owner is, I've aways returned it. Legally, if you find money in a large quantity like that, you're required to report it to the local police department or it's theft. If they can't locate the owner, I think they're supposed to return it to you, but I wouldn't count on that... I'd report it, probably more out of fear that if I tried to spend it it'd be a forgery or stolen, but I would report it. I could say I'd report it just because it's the moral thing to do, and that'd probably be part of my decision, but I guess laws are there to make sure those of use who ride the fence of temptation fall on the right side of the fence.

The largest denomination of currency currently printed or minted by the United States are the $100 bill and the $100 troy ounce Platinum Eagle.
I would use it as a bookmark, because it is worthless.

Of course, there aren't many of those around! To the people who wonder if they exist, they do also $1000,$5000 & $10,000 bills, just not in circulation any more! But you can still buy them from collectors at about double the face value! Check them out at www.thecurrencyhouse.com It amazes me that people answer questions with such certanty,No such thing!!!!!

Nothing - there is no such bill.
There is a true story of a woman who had thought she had a real million dollar bill. She took it over to Walmart and tried to spend it. They arrested her.

Depends, if there was someone around that it obviously belonged to I would return it. If there was a way to find out who it belonged to, I would return it. If it was laying in the middle of nowhere, with no one around, the suckers mine!
