where she is ordering the dress, whether it is a magazine or online, there are normally size guidelines in the back or where the ordering list is. but you can try this site http://geocities.com/ginger109us/SzDress.html
Sometimes it is better to order a size larger if you are unsure then you can have it altered.

Well I went to a dress shop and had a woman estimate my size based on my figure and clothes size. I tried the dress on and it was just right. I guess you're friend can go to a dress shop explain the situation, and if their nice they will assits her.

She should just forget ordering it over the internet and go to a store and buy one...in teh store she can try on teh differnt sizes and figure out what size she likes the best on her!!!

Don't be embarrassed if the dress is for you. There is nothing to be ashamed of. There are lots of men who enjoy wearing womens clothing. I say order the dress in a couple of different sizes and then return the ones that don't fit. If you're an average size male, try a 10, 12 or 14.
