No, I also think it is a beautiful flag. You are not jingoistic JUST for liking your country's flag. BUT you can be jingoistic (or at least considered to be) for other actions and/or attitudes.

According to the world book encyclopedia Jingoistic refers to someone who has an aggressive nature that could lead to warfare with others.
I leave that up to Bush Cheney and Rumsfeld.

Your love of the flag does not seem to fit that description.

Not unless you are belligerent about it. However, being jingoistic would mean that you are chauvinistically, and belligerently proud of your country or foreign policy and loving the American flag does not mean you love your country. You could just love the way it looks.
Ex.: Ooh!! Look at the pretty colors!!

No I love the flag too. Would Nationalistic be a better word? Americans need to rally round the flag-both Dems & Repubs.

So much more interesting than others, hah. Sorry I don't mean to be so "I'm Better Than Everyone Else"... just my opinion, that's all.
