Queen Elizabeth 1, hands down.
Brilliant, educated, generally acknowledged as one of the greatest leaders in history. Britain was in poor shape when she took the throne, and by the time she died it was the most powerful nation in Europe.
I believe the USA is an English-speaking nation because of Elizabeth. England would have been too weak to build colonies, if not for her.

My bestest friend in the entire world. I live in Japan and she is in the states. I miss her terribly. I'd love to have 30 minutes to just talk and laugh with her.

I would take the time and have my oldest meet my grandma who dies two months before he was born. She said she would always be with us, and I think she is his own guardian angel sometimes. :)
