I'm 22, I got pregnant when I was 19 when I was in college by a guy in the military that I barely knew... Got married when I was 20.. Now I'm 22, with a 2 year old, and have just filed for divorce. ... And I'm STILL trying to get through school. I just feel like a big dumbass failure. (Not my little girl, of course..) ...
I just don't feel like I've accomplished anything (besides my daughter), and I'm too young to be dealing with all this at one time. Sorry guys, I'm having an awful day and being slightly dramatic.

You guys are fabulous. I really can't pick a best answer. I know I'm not a loser, I'm just so tired of putting everything I've got into this whole situation and not feeling like I'm getting anything out of it. Sometimes I just want to be a kid but I don't have time for that anymore... I'll get through this I just need to get my head straight and concentrate on what's best for my little girl!

na, your not being dramatic, life is hard. I had my son when I was 19, he's 26 now, and don't regret it for a second....Your 22, your not suppose to have all the answers right now, your still finding your place in this world...raising a child, and going to school, if you were my daughter I would be very proud your doing both...sometimes marriages don't work when married young, but at 22 you have a whole lifetime of good things to come...sorry your having a bad day, don't be so hard on yourself your just stressed out, and you are not a loser! OK?......

No you are not a loser at all. Sometimes we make bad choices but look at the positives. You have a beautiful daughter you are still working at finishing school and you had the courage to leave a relationship that you realized was not working. I can't imagine how you could not feel totally overwhelmed at times but trust me times will become better. I was in the same situation as you and I now have a lovely twenty three year old daughter who I am very close too. I am also working a Master's Degree. Just because you took a different path then others doesn't make it wrong. You have learned a lot more about life then those that chose to continue with school and none of those lessons will ever be lost. Each person has their own destiny to fulfil. Good luck and God Bless.

Well check this out. You are not a loser. You tried the honorable thing by being a family. However sometimes things don't work out. Don't feel like a dumbass. For what that won't change your circumstances. The fact that youre still in school and taking care of daughter is honorable. Before I got married. I had 3 kids and 27 and still was working on school. Did that make me failure? No! The fact that I was being persistant with taking care of my children, working, and going to school made me very successful. Hold you head up Baby Girl!! All is well. If you can't hold your head up for yourself do it for your beautiful daughter!!

Your not a loser. You may be going through some tough times and I'm sure your not the only one with this same problem. And some of them might have quit school and are struggling right now. At least your still in school so you can have a better life for you and your daughter. Don't worry, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Keep going and you will be fine.

Be strong u can get through this, A mother will always find a way to survive and i Know that u will, u are not a loser. what doesn't kill u makes u stronger.
stop with all the negative thoughts and be strong. The baby needs u to be strong right now. Do something that will make u happy and follow ur goals u do not need a man to be a strong woman. LOVE urself.
be independent and try not to depend on no man until u are able to stand on own two feet.
TAKE CARE>>>>>BE STRONG FOR UR SELF and your baby.
i had my 1st babywhen i was 16, now he is 10 and i'm 25. he is a great boy, he puts a smile on my face every day....

No you are not a loser. Things happen and you just have to learn from your lessons and move on. Sounds like the best thing that came out of this relationship is your precious daughter. Spend time with her, love her and promise her that you can be the best mom ever by loving yourself and doing what you feel is right in your heart. Remember there is no challenge too big or too small that you cant handle.

Good for you that you have your daughter AND your getting through school. A lot of people would have given up. What your doing requires a lot of work and commitment, those are two things you just can't associate with a "failure." You just keep going ..you'll get there and by doing so teach your daughter how to overcome problems to be a success. Give yourself credit for what you've accomplished!

I don't think you're being overly dramatic. You're in a tough situation at your tender age. You're entitled to have a little hissy fit every now and then. Kudos on still trying to get through school and realizing that your daughter was not the mistake. Best of luck for a bright, happy future.

Well Megan, you seem to be down on yourself because you didnt finish what you wanted because of "Circuimstances".
Think about this though: How many people have dropped because of being pregnant?
Thats an unfair question, so I'll reward it: How many people dropped because they took in consideration of their higher responsibilities.
I myself have done that. I didnt care for how my home life was, so I dropped UNTIL I had a chance to straighten out my living arrangements.
Dont down yourself because you viewed your daughter as being more important than....a degree? Come on, who chooses a degree over their daughter...(A dumbass).
What life is showing you...is the fact that you have heart. You cared enough for your daughter to put a hold on your degree (For the time being) until you get things straightened out at home. Things could've went a lot worse your that lil girl....such as her LIFE. But there was one person in the whole world that cared enough for her to put a hold on her degree to make sure that she's safe and well.
Now the rest is on you. Did you actually "Drop", or did you just have a few things to straighten out first?
Its better to go back and finish now, while your young.
You had a daughter, now you can continue to make decisions to become an inspiration to her.
Plus, now you have an even better reason why to go back. You have someone relying on you.
You have a lot to think about this weekend. Make that call to set up an appointment with your registrar to set up an appointment to re-enroll.
Also its important to talk things over with your support group. Its VERY rare that individuals accomplish goals without an established support group. Make arrangements to have child care set up for those days that you'll be in school/working.
You'll know who loves you because they'll want you to succeed, for you and your child.
All of this will be easier than you think it is, its just a matter of you getting your focus back, and realizing that your goals and motives have now changed.
hope this has helped...gudluk!!!!!
