This is a laptop, to start off, and my mum went and downloaded the old flash player, and now flash things won't show up. It just shows a red X. I tried downloading the up-to-date one, but it won't let me... Wehn I click on 'Download', the top bar won't pop up so I can download it... Anyone know what I can do?

Oh, yeah, that's another thing. I can't unistall the old version. There's an icon to uninstall it, but when I click on it, it says it needs to know what program created it to open the file... What do I do?...

Uninstall the old version. Then turn off pop-blocker and and download the new verision. The old footprints will be in the computer so to speak so the new one will replace the old one as long as you add/remove programs. Hope this helps!

You need first to download the Firefox browser from www.mozilla.com That will let you have access to the latest version of flash player --- even if you have a version already installed.

If you use Firefox, it will automatically ask you to search for available flash players. I too didn't have one, but I got it downloaded with Firefox.
