limewire is where you can download songs for free!!!
It's perfectly safe if you download songs or video's (whatch out for programs) other than that it's safe!!
Legal as well, I got pro which is $19.25 a month and works MUCH faster than the free one.

1. It is not legal as it involves file sharing which is totally illegal.
2. It's not safe because it contains something called adware. Adware means that limewire are holding your details such as your name, address, telephone numbers and bank details. Once you reach a limit to 900 songs, you will receive a bill from limewire.
3. Yes, Limewire basic is free. No, Limewire Pro isn't free.
To prevent number 3 from happening, make a new folder and save all of your songs to that so that limewire don't have a track of it.

Limewire is a peer to peer file sharing server. It is legal, so long as you do not use it to trade files that you do not legally have the write to have. It is free. As for safe, it's not 100% safe. I wouldn't get involved with it unless you are familiar with tweaking your computer.

I got a virus from it.. other than that, not sure.. I know a few other peoples who's laptops got ruined from it also. How do you know if it really is limewire though?? who knows.. I dont think its safe though, not worth the risk.

1) it is where you can download music and share the music you have (and other files as well, videos, screen savers, recipes, documents, etc)

3) some virus and open acess to your computer (keep it safer by not allowing it acess by denying the firewall question)

it is completely free if you get the basic version, but if you get limewire pro, there is a fee

no - it is not legal if used for downloading copyrighted music, movies, etc.
no - It is safe if you know what you are doing. Because you asked this question, I assume you don't know what you are doing and therefore it isn't safe for you.
