Compromise, offer to come in a little earlier than usual, or check in by phone part way through the night. Approach them when they are in good moods and point out your responsible attributes. Then be on your best behavior while out or you'll never be allowed to go to another one LOL.

First of all, you didn't say your age, that would make quite a difference of opinion. I'm gonna guess, you are about 14, and if you are around that age, Listen to them, there will be plenty of time to do your partying. Parties can and will lead to trouble, in time. Been there and done that :)

I would have lied to my parents. Said I was staying at so-and-so's house but really sneaking out to the party. But then you're just proving you're not responsible. So ask them honestly. And if they say no, they probably have a good reason, so listen to them.

If your parents don't want you to go to a party they probably have a pretty good reason. Your situation is nothing compared to my best friend's. She is the almost the FULL TIME BABYSITTER for her baby brother. Her parents don't let her even go to school dances because she always has to watch him.
