Anyone who invests in stocks needs to have a well diversified portfolio, one that includes companies like Alliant Technologies (ammo), Raytheon, etc., and VERY few people find that immoral, myself included. I don't hold Alliant, but I do hold some Halliburton (a leader in oil production engineering). Halliburton has had some bad press, almost exclusively from Democrats, because Republican Vice President Dick Cheney was their CEO years ago. Halliburton, or really their Kellogg, Brown and Root engineering division, has been unfairly criticized because of "no-bid" contracts awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This is not uncommon, especially in wartime, and KBR is unique in its field of engineering. In fact, they really have no close competitors in America. Their closest real competitor is French. Should the U.S. Army award contracts to the French?

The only stock I've got is through my 401k. I don't even know what stocks I've invested in. I'm a Republican.
