Yeah -- I read that one years ago when the movie with Kevin Costner came out -- it is sad...and yes, Nicholas Sparks often has the tuggin' of the heartstrings going on in his stories..... Good reading though

Yes, most of his books are like that, very well written and sentimental. Nicholas Sparks writes mostly about regions in the eastern coast of North Carolina, (which I am from) so I can actually relate to the settings, and they are factual. He's done a tremendous job at being accurate about the locations, and home town country style of character building. I have most all of his books, and also 2 of them were made into movies, which are GREAT, if you enjoyed his reads. ~Be well!

Most of his books are like that. He's excellent!! You have to read 'The Notebook' then see the movie. Also, read 'Suzanne's Diary For Nicholas' and 'Sam's Letters to Jennifer' both by James Patterson. And then there's the 'ultimate' "Bridges of Madison County", THE BEST!!!!!

No, I have not read his books. But I will pick this one up. A good cry is always good. I have a saying.. Tears are to the soul, what soap is to the body. Thanks for the review on the book. I'll check it out.

OMG I loved that book! That book and 'A Walk to Remember' are really emotional but his others are a mix of all feelings. I've read them all and they are all fantastic! :o)
