I used to wear one very often when I was in my late teens and early twenties. Then my best friend's boyfriend borrowed it for a party and it got ruined. (Never even offered to replace it) I also wore a bowler, a few cowboy hats and a "head" hat on occasion.

I think it makes anyone look like they need a whip, a vest, some stubble, and a deep fear of snakes.

I don't think they are in style anymore. My dad wore one. He looked great in a hat.
