Okay, i downloaded the latest version of Firefox (Firefox 1.5.0.7). The setup box popped up and said to make sure all windows programs were closed and click "next", or click cancel to then close up the programs. So i clicked cancel. After doing my task manager thing, i try to install firefox. But I have no idea where the setup thing went after i clicked cancel!! Do i have to download firefox AGAIN?? Any suggestions would be nice
(if this question is cofusing, please tell me and i'll edit it asap)

Download it again but this time, do not use the task manager. All you have to do is close programs like your web browser and any messengers. Things like antivirus and firewall are perfectly ok to run in the back ground, as well as any other program that can only be shut down by the task manager. Trust me, I never close any back ground processes to install firefox and it works just fine. But before downloading again, do a search for "Firefox Setup" (without the quotes) and see if that helps. If not, reboot the computer and try the search again. If it doesn't show up, download it again. Just don't use the task manager to clear programs.

Look in your temp download files and see if its lurking there, otherwise do a search on your system and type *fire in, it should pull up everything with fire in your system.
If you've looked and can't find it, try restarting your computer, sometime uninstalled downloads will pop up a message when you computer first comes on, and ask if you want to install the program. Then and only then after you've looked around your PC, go back and redownload Firefox.

try to search the computer for "firefox setup" or something similar. If you downloaded the new version by the old browser, go to tool, options, downloads tab and look in which folder downloaded files are stored. Common places are program files in C:/ folder, my downloads folder in my Documents, or the desktop.

did you download the setup file? if not then you need to go back to the website and click download again...it automatically cancels after you click cancel to download...just go back to the firefox website and click download again once you close all your other files.

Ok easy way to figure this out. When you clicked download on the website, did you SAVE or OPEN? If you saved, check in your my documents folder or your desktop. If you opened you need to redownload. Good luck!
