Varies by state. From what I understand, if a landlord sells, the new owner does not have to honor the lease.

Ran across this situation in my last apartment (in Michigan)! It really depends on what the intended use is for your building! If it's for rent - the new landlord also takes over your security deposit and your current lease! They may ask you to renew the lease with them when it becomes due, but until then they legally can't adjust anything in your previous lease till it's up.
Now if they want to convert the building to a different use (make it a doctors office, or tear it down) than they legally have to provide you with some financial assistance to compensate you for the forced move!

In most states you have 30 days. Unless you have a lease that has time left on it. Now there are places where tenants have lots of rights like NY.

I'm a landlord myself, check your states realastate board website.... In california, we have to give the tenants 30 days notice that we are selling, but we cant ask them to move out unless we give them a 60 day notice...
Hope that helps...

it will depend on your state and any written lease or written rent agreement
Normally they only have to give you a 30 days notice unless there is a written agreement

OldSchool is correct.
You have at least 30 days notice. It is their property after all.
