Most rock music sucks nowadays. BTW, I'm not trying to bash anybody's taste in music, it's just that most of it feels so watered down to me. I was just wondering if anybody else felt the same way.

Most modern music is trash, especially the poppy stuff and Rap/hiphop.
I definetly prefer classic rock and music from the early and mid-90's.
BTW- I am 21. Not just old people hate current music, it's called taste, I have it. And Lips of an Angel is one of the most annoyingly song modern "rock" song I have heard in a LONG while. Not to mention the lyrics are crap.

OK, the real rock music that is being made today doesn't suck, but the majority of the stuff that is being played on the radio does. Music has become too corporate, and pre-fabricated. There are still a few good musicians, but most are just one-hit wonders.

There is a TON of good music that's being produced, you just need to look somewhere besides mainstream media to find it. I don't think ANY of my favorite bands are played on the radio nor do I think they ever will be. I do, however, think they make some of the best music to date.
As for music that doesn't suck, I recommend going on myspace (you know you have an account) and searching their music section's "top artists" in whatever genres you like best. They offer a variety genres and by searching the top artists I'd say you're more likely to find something "good". Aside from that, if you find a record label that makes a lot of the music you listen to, go to their website and check out other bands on that label....they'll likely be of a similar caliber of musical talent.

Punk music isn't at present's music. It became 80-ninety's music. the recent stuff is often called Pop till it is going to become Oldies. Wait till at last Britney Spears is on "Oldies interior the Morning" you are able to attempt Hawksley Workman and different Canadians. they might't sell out reason no one needs to purchase.

You have to sift through a lot of crap to find decent music today. I encourage you to not give up your search. Check out The Jules Holland Show (or something to that effect). I wish we had a show like his here in the US. He invites a bunch of different musicians, from David Gray to Elton John to that random rock band you've never heard of. They all sit around and listen to each other play. It's awesome.

It seems to me todays music is no better or worse than 10-15 years ago. There were pretty big differances between 50's music, 60's music, 70's and so on, but from the late 80's til today it pretty much all sounds the same to me. I turn on the radio and expect to fell like the grumpy old man who hates this kids music, but I swear it sounds the same to me.

Most music these days is awful. I like bits and pieces of different styles/bands/etc...but there is no set music that i like. Rap is a bunch of garbage and the songs are the same thing over and over and over, only thing they got going is the beats are usually pretty good. The new rock has some good songs like "How to save a life" is pretty good b/c of the piano play but most of their others songs suck. Alot of it has to do with all of it pretty much being the same, and the fact that they play the same songs over and over and over and over...

It's a-okay that you don't think today's rock music is cool I guess, but I personally love today's rock music. But don't judge all of modern rock on the mainstream rock, because I don't really like a lot of mainstream rock. There are a lot of awesome bands that are never played on mainstream stations!

I like everything 'cept Rap and most country songs
I DO NOT LIKE SLOW SONGS!!!!!
So SOME of todays music is OK, and other songs make me gag up my breakfast
I like the songs of today that sound like old songs, Some artists that are pulling it off are Salivia, Hinder, The Darkness, and some others, they have that 80's hair metal sound. Then there is Jet, they have a retro sound as well.
So some of today's music has it and some don't

No. There is soooooo much music out there that I cant understand how you cant find at least something that you like. Maybe try looking and listening in different places. There is other music being created besides what they play on the radio or tv.
