Love is important , but I think the basis of any solid relationship is TRUST meaning that you could be away from the person for months or even a year and you have nothing to worry about with them b/c you know they trust you and you trust them.... its also about respecting each other and each other's space... AFter 4 years of marriage , I have come to realize that these two things are the foundation that love and family are built on with relationships..

Love, plus a lot other things combined is what makes a happy couple; not just love alone. Respect, appreciation, and just liking each other. Love is hard to define. You do feel it tho; good luck

Well love is a strong base but you can eat love and clothes your self with love or pay the rent with love.... you have to use love as a focus point to struggle together for what you want to build with that loved one... and when its time to sit back after years of struggles and hard work you can look at each other and say look all we have thanks to the LOVE we felt for each other...

No there's also trust, loyalty, compassion, understanding, and etc etc. Love is great, and important, but to get through help a relationship you need other abilities so you can deal with things through out the relationship.

great question. it is enough as long as things like Money, sex, emotional compatibility, etc are not an issue. if there's an issue in any of these areas love may not be enough.

I actually don't think so. I have been with my man for five years and it is weird to think that, but I think there needs to be more than just love, because do you love all those dumb *** decisions or habits that person does. (no) You need alot more than love to make it work.
