The emotion I'm looking for is difficult to describe, bear with me and I'l try to give you an idea...

The breaking of the calm by the storm.
The thunder of rage that comes when despondency is shed.
Figting a hopeless battle to right great wrongs, and fighting that battle not to stay alive, but to conquer all who stand before you.
Irretrieveable loss, and the determination to battle on in spite of the soul shattering pain of that loss.
OK,
Some of the things that are similar, but not quite right are...
Basil poledouris Anvil of Crom (theme of Conan)
John Williams March of Doom (Darth Vader)
L.V.B. Ode to Joy (and others I cant name...)
Drums, French Horns, Cellos, you know.

Obviously my music experiece is mostly limited to movies. I'm sorry and I will rectify that beginning with any suggestions you can give me. Thanks for the help.

Many suggestions listed above. But one that I am greatly surprised is not; which will therefore be my one and only suggestion. The "Liebestod"(Love-death) from Richard Wagner's opera, "Tristan und Isolde". Relax, there are many, many different versions, arrangements of this most beautiful of all love music, not including the original operatic, vocal version. In fact, most people prefer listening to the non-vocal version. There are literally 100's of recordings of it, and am sure you can find one for piano solo; I would however recommend the orchestral version without the voice. Enjoy, Alberich

I don't know if this will work, but Prelude in C Minor (my favorite classical music song!) is an awesome classical piano song that kind of starts out really loud (the breaking of the calm) and it's slow for awhile then it gets really loud and fast (fighting the battle) and it keeps going, then it gets soft again (irretrieveable loss) and the whole song makes me feel really sad (the sould shattering pain???)

So yeah just seriously listen to this song and see if it would work! Good luck!

Personally I recomend any williams peice but for this I have the perfect one, the perfect storm soundtrack by james horner, the titanic by him might work as well but I think the perfect storm is what you need.
Some good williams include
Across the Stars (star wars episode 2)
Hyme to the fallen (saving private ryan)
Pieces from amistad

One other track you should look out that i think will work well is th Dragonheart theme by Randy Edlman.
Hope one of these helps
